Las personas con EVW m\u00e1s grave podr\u00edan tener m\u00e1s problemas hemorr\u00e1gicos. Los s\u00edntomas tambi\u00e9n pueden cambiar con el tiempo. Algunas veces la EVW s\u00f3lo se descubre cuando hay una hemorragia abundante despu\u00e9s de un accidente grave o de una intervenci\u00f3n dental o quir\u00fargica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Los principales s\u00edntomas son:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n- Propensi\u00f3n a desarrollar moretones.<\/li>
- Hemorragias nasales frecuentes o prolongadas.<\/li>
- Hemorragia de las enc\u00edas.<\/li>
- Hemorragia prolongada de peque\u00f1as cortadas.<\/li>
- Periodo menstrual abundante o prolongado.<\/li>
- Hemorragias en el tracto gastrointestinal superior e inferior.<\/li>
- Hemorragia prolongada despu\u00e9s de lesiones, cirug\u00edas, trabajos dentales o partos.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
Hay m\u00e1s mujeres que hombres que presentan s\u00edntomas de EVW. Las mujeres con EVW generalmente sangran m\u00e1s o durante un tiempo mayoral normal con la menstruaci\u00f3n o despu\u00e9s de un parto. Algunas mujeres con EVW padecen muchos c\u00f3licos menstruales o menstruaciones irregulares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
El tipo de sangre tambi\u00e9n podr\u00eda ser un factor. Las personas con sangre tipo O a menudo tienen niveles menores de FVW que las personas con tipos A, B o AB. Esto quiere decir que las personas con EVW y sangre tipo O podr\u00edan tener m\u00e1s problemas hemorr\u00e1gicos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
No es f\u00e1cil diagnosticar la EVW. Las personas que piensan que tienen un problema hemorr\u00e1gico deber\u00edan consultar a un hemat\u00f3logo especializado en trastornos de la coagulaci\u00f3n. En un centro de trastornos de la coagulaci\u00f3n pueden realizarse las pruebas adecuadas. Dado que la prote\u00edna del FVW tiene m\u00e1s de una funci\u00f3n, deber\u00eda utilizarse m\u00e1s de una prueba de laboratorio para diagnosticar la EVW.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Las pruebas de laboratorio para detectar la EVW tambi\u00e9n son dif\u00edciles. La EVW no puede diagnosticarse con pruebas de sangre de rutina. Las pruebas implican medir el nivel y la actividad del FVW de una persona, adem\u00e1s de los de otra prote\u00edna para la coagulaci\u00f3n de la sangre: el factor VIII (FVIII). A menudo es necesario repetir las pruebas porque los niveles de FVW y de FVIII de una persona pueden variar en diferentes momentos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
